Free Writing

Filed Under (Blogging Advice) by Randy Bragg

What is free writing?

Glad you asked. Free writing is a method that is related to brainstorming that some writers use to help them get ideas on what they can write about. Thinking about one

thing for five ot ten minutes on a question that might seem puzzling to them might give them something to write about.

A writer can put down anything they can think about and evaluate it later. This style of

writing does not have a pretty look to it that says I know how to spell and I worry about

sentence structure.

Writers who use this style will go back and reread what they have wrote and highlight or underline what ever is of value. After doing this they are able to start writing and make a

rough draft and finish off their article.

This style of writing has grabbed my attention because I am a pretty fast paced guy. Trying to brainstorm and think of ideas for articles kills my drive to even write about

anything at all. People have said to find something and stick to it, I have not done this, I have been all over the place with my blog.

Bragg’s Writers Guild

Today is the day that I have decided to start writing articles to enjoy the art of writing. That to me seems to like a great way for a blog to go. For the year I have been blogging I have meet many people and I would love to meet many more.

Good Bye To Attacking The Blogging World

The name of my blog is going to be Bragg’s Writers Guild. My support for blogging tools will not go away, so if you are using them keep it up, I will  add some blog tips from time to time.

Is Home-Schooling Better Than Public Education?

Filed Under (Family) by Randy Bragg

You can sit back and ask this question to yourself, you first have to go and look at the curriculum that home school programs offer versus public schools. Than factor in all the politics that goes on in the schools upper crust society that decide if your kids will learn about the subjects, or learn how to pass the state tests. Let’s look at some of the issues that some parents have when they think of homeschooling.

v      No social interaction with other children.

v      Teacher available to answer questions?

      v      What about physical education?

Those are a few concerns that parents have, I know there are more, here’s some information related to those concerns.

v      Think about the kind of socialization experiences you want for your child. Your home schooled child need not be limited to the artificial community of his or her peers that’s offered in the formal school environment, but rather, can benefit from a wide variety of interactions and relationships.

v      Contact your public school about having your child participate in whatever extracurricular activities it offers. Many districts welcome the participation of homeschooled children in sports teams, clubs, theater productions and other activities. (You may have to sign a waiver releasing the school from responsibility for your child.)

v      Consider the same kinds of resources you would if your child were in a traditional school environment. Many township organizations, nonprofit groups, and clubs such as bands and orchestras, scout troops and 4-H have chapters devoted to homeschooled kids. If not, your child can still participate “after school,” like everyone else.

v      Join a local homeschool group. Most offer a broad range of activities, including field trips, where your child can benefit from group interaction.

v      Take advantage of the flexibility homeschooling offers. Socialization could mean bringing your child with you to one of your own church or community group activities, or having lunch with Grandma.

Ask local resources such as art centers, skating rinks and music schools about offering instruction and/or use of their facilities to your homeschool group. Often, their staff and facilities are idle during regular school hours, and they might welcome the chance to get some use from their resources.  This is one of many articles that I will be writing for anyone who is interested in homeschooling. So, is homeschooling better than public schools? That is a question only answered by what school your child attends. The differences in curriculums, teacher’s salaries, and the politicians in your state, have a big impact on if you get a warm fuzzy on how your child is being educated

Jesus Is My Hope And Trust

Filed Under (Religion) by Randy Bragg

Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. How we thank God, who gives us victory over sin and death through Jesus Christ our Lord!

A Review Of Article Specialist

Filed Under (Blogging Advice, Reviews) by Randy Bragg

articlespecialist.PNG

Content

Are you a blogger looking for blogtemplates, blog secrets, marketing blog tips, or where you would like to host a blog? Trust is a huge issue in the blogging world, let me tell you. You can try to get to know people and even the people you thought you knew and you thought since they were having great success in the blogging world that they would help you, you need to think twice. You might get lucky and have a friend that is cool enough to share his talents and then there is the other way, figure it out on your own. This site has a wide range of blogging tools to choose from.

Why you should or shouldn’t read this blog.

Blog’s Physical Look

There is a problem with the way it was loading at 1440 x 900 screen resolution, most people don’t use this, you have to think of these things when you create a blog though. The blog is not cluttered but seems to have some sidebar navigation links to far to the bottom left. When a reader comes they will want to see some archive info and blog RSS sign up right away.

Suggestion

There needs to be some navigation at the top, people need to be able to go to any of the interesting spots on the site without having to fish for links.

VOB To The Point

Over all this site has a lot of good articles and has potential to shot to higher places. With some better advertising and some touch up on the layout,  the Article Specialist will hit a better PR (page rank) in no time.
