Jesus Is My Hope And Trust

Filed Under (Religion) by Randy Bragg

Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. How we thank God, who gives us victory over sin and death through Jesus Christ our Lord!

Fantasy Role Playing Games: Candy Coated Satanism (part III)

Filed Under (Religion) by Pastor Al Weeks

Satan is using these games to produce a vast army of the most intlligent young people of this country; an army the Anti-Christ will be able to tap into and control in an instant. Through their involvement in these games, people can be controlled demonically without ever realizing what is happening. In many states such games are used as a part of the school curriulum for the more intelligent students from 5th grade on. Most colleges use use the game Dungeons And Dragon as part of the curriculum in psychology courses. The justification given is that the students benefit from the role-playing experience. Almost every school has extracurricular clubs formed to play the games. In essence, such games ar crash courses in witchcraft. Unfortunately the participants usually do not realize this until it is too late.

For those unfamiliar with fantasy role-playing a game master that provides the framework of the game controls the game itself. The players create a charadter out of their imagination then flesh it out using dice determine the strength, speed, intelligence, and other statistics needed to truly play the character. They then begin to immerse themselves in the character. The game begins there but really does not have an end. Even if a character dies the group goes on and the one who died makes up another character. One the many dangers of this game are the fact that a person can have a character live along time and in that time the two personalities seem to merge into one.

One such event took place in Jacksonville, Florida on the night of September 30, 1986, in an apartment off Park Street in a section of town known as riverside, there were eight people crammed into a very small living room. The atomosphere was charged with excitement, this group had been traveling together through countless worlds for a long time. The leader of the party was called Arragorn son of Arrathorn eldest twin and heir to his father’s throne. His brother Lancer, known as Mournblade, was an assassin of the highest caliber, Arragorn would not be the leader without the fear of Lancer’s quick and silent blade. There was also a huge hulking brute that had formed a fast friendship to the brothers his name was Ben, Grim Ben. Twin female thieves, Sola and Luna, one knight, Sir Michael the Brave, and a priest of a demon god, Nightshade, rounded out the party.

More to come tomorrow….

Fantasy Role Playing Games: Candy Coated Satanism (Chapter Two)

Filed Under (Religion) by Pastor Al Weeks

The first few sessions in the gifted program was what was to be expected, simply getting to know each other, feeling everyone out setting the hierarchy. It was not until two weeks before Christmas that some one that had sort of befriended this young man and invited him to play a new type of game. It was about knights and dragons and fair maidens in distress. All the types of fantasy that he had been reading about for years. He consented and a step was taken, after his first game of Dungeons and Dragons he was hooked. Two years later he accepted Christ as his Savior but D&D was still a strong part of his life. He thought that if he only played good characters then it would be all right, but this was Satan lying to him to draw him closer. Then he said to himself that it was O.K. as long as he did not play character that used magic. Another step closer to Satan, then he said it would be better if he used magic items but not cast spells. Then it was as long as he did not play a priest, then it was as long as he did not play a priest that worshiped another God. And so the downward spiral began into the depths of Candy Coated Satanism.
The popular game D&D is but one of many such game that require the players to assume the identity of a make believe person set in a mythical time where there are no real consequences to the actions that a person does. This type of game does not attract everyone; it is targeted at the most intelligent and creative young men and women in the world today. Satan is extremely old and has had a very long time to understand the way we think. He knows that if consequences are taken away he can get just about anyone to do what they ordinarily would not do. These games do just that in D&D it has a variety of characters to choose from fighters, knights, thieves, assassins, priests wizards, rangers, monks, and wandering ministers. All of these are pulled from medieval legend and form the basis for every other roll playing game on the market. In her book “Prepare for War,” Dr. Rebeccca Brown, one ot the countries leading experts in the field of Satanism says: “One of Satan’s biggest tools in our country today is the occult Role-playing fantasy games which have become so popular.

Fantasy Role Playing Games: Candy Coated Satanism

Filed Under (Religion) by Pastor Al Weeks

Aknowledgements

I would like to thank my lovely wife Sandy for encouraging me to keep at it. I would also like to thank my father who is without a doubt the wisest man I know. And lastly I wish to dedicate this, my first real work to my baby girl Rebekah Illianna Weeks.

There is a war going on that without God lifting the veil that separeates this world and the spirit realm we will never truly see. The two sides are Satan the Lord of Lies and his fallen angels and the other is the Lord of Hosts, the Omnipotent Omniscient All encompassing Creator of the Universe. Battles are fought every day and the battleground is the minds of us humans. The prize is our immortal souls and we can chose to fight on one side or the other. One of the chief tools that Satan is using to lure many away from God and subtly indoctrinate them into witchcraft is fantasy role-playing gaes, like Dungeons and Dragons, and Rollmaster. In this essay we will look at a few true stories of actual people that have played the games and testimony from the experts as to why Satan is using these games as recruiment tools. We will also look at how someone can fall into his grasp so easily, and what can be done to stop it. This is no different and no less deadly as putting poison in candy and giving it out to kids. This truly is candy coating Satanism and witchcraft.

The Year was 1982, a young boy who was an outcast, rebel, an outsider, started the sixth grade. This young man was bright and talented and anti-social. The administration of his previous school had felt that he had a learning disability. He did not make the kind of grades that they felt he was capable of making. So, doing what they always do when they can not get a child to learn they test him for some sort of learning dysfunction. It was clear to any that would look that it was the boy’s fault, not the learning model that was being used or the teachers that taught. He was tested nine ways from Sunday, everything from hearing to eyesight to brainpower. When the results came in only his mother was not surprsed. The boy had a brain. Not just any brain, but a good sized one at that. The teachers scratched their collective heads. “How can this be,” they asked themselves, “How can this child be this gifted and not be doing better in class?” Their answer was simple; he must have a learning problem that they could not test for. They placed him in a special class designed to help those that do not learn well. When that did not work they placed him in a gifted program as well. The resulting combintaion kept him on the outside looking in. His peers that attened the slow learning class with him would not accept him because he was miles above them. The “gifted” kids would not accept him for attended the slow class so he must be stupid. The normal kids did not know what to think, so they just left them alone. All this said to say simpley that he was a lonely child-seeking acceptance anywher and anyway he could. When he sarted the sixth grade he had no idea what so ever what was going to happen that year. he started the gifted programsame as the years before, only this year he would meet some one that would set the main focus of his life for the next fifteen years.

This is the first two pages of Al Weeks book Fantasy Role Playing Games: Candy Coated Satanism, there will be two pages posted every day.

An Angel In The Postal Service

Filed Under (Religion) by Unknown Author

This is one of the kindest things I’ve ever experienced.  I have no way to know who sent it, but there is a kind soul working in the dead letter office of the US Postal service.  Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month.  The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey.  She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her.  I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words:
Dear God,
Will you please take care of my dog?  She died yesterday and is with you in heaven.  I miss her very much.  I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.  I hope you will play with her.  She likes to play with balls and to swim.  I am sending a picture of her so when you see her you will know that she is my dog.  I really miss her.
Love, Meredith
We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven.  We put our return address on it.  Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven.  That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office.  A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet.  I told her that I thought He had.

Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, “To Meredith” in an unfamiliar hand.  Meredith opened it.  Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, “When a Pet Dies”.  Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope.  On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey Meredith and this note:
Dear Meredith,
Abbey arrived safely in heaven.  Having the picture was a big help.  I recognized Abbey right away.  Abbey isn’t sick anymore.  Her spirit is here with Me just like it stays in your heart.  Abbey loved being your dog.  Since we don’t need our bodies in heaven, I don’t have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by.  Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to Me.  What a wonderful mother you have.  I picked her especially for you.  I send My blessings every day and remember that I love you very much.  By the way, I Am wherever there is love.
Love, God

So You Call Yourself A Christian

Filed Under (Religion) by Randy Bragg

I’m sure you have heard this before if you are a Christian , or a religious person. This is usually said when a person you know thinks you have wronged them. The first thing that flies out of their mouths is “So you call yourself a Christian.” Everyone knows that Christians are perfect, they go to church, they follow all the rules, they are the ones who help everyone out in times of need, let me let you in on a little secret, there was only one true perfect person ever on this planet, his name was Jesus Christ. I’m not perfect, and nor have I ever claimed to be. The ones who go through life acting like they are above you because they are a so called Christian, need to evaluate their Christianity.

My life has had it’s ups and downs, and I threw my hand up at God on many occasions, with the me saying “If you were truly a loving God than why?” The Genie in the bottle I thought was God never gave me what I wanted, only what I needed. To those of you who I have wronged, than I’m truly sorry. You might think that I am writing this because I upset someone lately, nope, just thought about all the people who say “I don’t go to church because of all those hypocrites that go,” I suppose when Jesus died on the cross he was thinking the same thing, why should I die for all of these people who care only about themselves. Why should I give my life to people not worthy to enter into the kingdom of heaven? Thank you Jesus for loving me so much that you looked past how rotten of a man I can sometimes be, dieing on the cross so that I wouldn’t have to.

The church is a house, the people are all sinners, the reason for going is to lay it down before God’s feet, and leave knowing that you have nothing to fear.  Church goer’s also attend to get edified and lifted up in time’s of need. Alone, the devil can get in and conquer, but as the body of Christ come’s together, GOD will conquer.

God took away the judgement of the world for those who accept what HIS SON has done in their place. One prayer, ask him into your heart, and you too will have eternal life. Come to know the saving grace the millions of people have come to know.

Children And Their Moral Warehouse

Filed Under (Family, Religion) by Randy Bragg

Have you ever said something to your child and thought yikes that didn’t come out right? Yes, I’ve done it. He had just done something that I got a glimpse of and I used a harsh tone with him, finding out later that I was not seeing the whole story and I had jumped to conclusions. How will this impact my son? Will he take the same recourse as I when chastising his son or daughter?

The Moral Alarm

The time when we hear this alarm is usually before we do the action. This happens when we have had some teachings from our parents on the certain something we are about to do. As we start to do the action we might remember something our parents once said to us and we retract from doing the action.

Filling Up The Warehouse

The instructions to filling this warehouse are located in the Bible. As we are raising our children in God’s ways, they fill the warehouse with information that is taken in on a daily basis when they see their family in action. These are every day lessons for a child.
The parents hold these keys to the child’s warehouse; they hold the fate of a child who might get up for an older person when a seat is needed.

Training Positive and Reinforcement

Positive training is when you can give encouragement, instruction, and will happen when your child is young. When their young you tell them stop doing something and back it up with a swat, than reinforce the action as needed. Giving positive feedback will give them the motivation they need to do the right thing. As they get older the process changes for the more mature child. When you step back from the positive or the reinforcement, the child might look to analyze or pick you apart to gain an upper hand in some situation. They might doubt your strength or weakness as a parent and that could lead to loss of confidence in your abilities as a parent.

Lets find out how many parents out there really care about their childs moral warehouse, tell me how you are helping fill your child’s moral warehouse.

Next Election

Filed Under (Religion) by Pastor Al Weeks

40% of Americans claim to be Christians but of that number only about a third actually votes in any given election .  It is every Christian’s responsibility to serve the government that God places over him or her.  We do this in many ways, like not cheating on our taxes, or stopping at the stop sign and not rolling through.  In our country we are blessed with the opportunity to have a say in who leads us.  And yet we would rather watch Law and order then a presidential debate.

Here is a challenge; name five sports stars.  Now name five of our representatives in congress.  If you don’t vote then don’t complain when the wrong person wins.

I would like to encourage all who read this to be intentional in everything that you do.  Pray for our leaders and then vote for the one that most closely follows God and His views.  If we do this every time we vote then we will not be at fault when the wrong one wins.  Hitler only won the election by one vote.  Every voice counts no mater how small or large.  Let yours be heard!!!

Story Of Christmas

Filed Under (Religion) by Pastor Al Weeks

Many of you have heard the true story of Christmas or watched it on television, but have you ever picked up the Bible and read about it? Most of the stuff you see or hear isn’t accurate.

It all started with a couple named Mary and Joe. Mary was married to Joe, who was a carpenter. Back in that day, however, when a couple got married the wife would go to her husband’s house to do the cleaning and cooking, she then would return to her own house. They would do this everyday, for at least a couple of years.  One night an angel appeared before Mary and told her that she was pregnant and that the baby would be the Son of God, the chosen Messiah.  When Mary started showing signs of pregnancy, Joe started to panic. He decided to hide her away so no one would think that he had made her pregnant. He also began to wonder who the father of the baby could be. Then the angel came to him one night and told him that the baby was the child of God .   A decree came down from Caesar Augustus that everyone was to be counted and taxed from their hometown. When Joe and Mary arrived in Bethlehem they searched desperately for a place to rest, but because of the decree all inns were full.  Eventually they came upon a soft hearted innkeeper who, although no room was left in his inn, gave them a warm stable in the back to sleep in. At this time Mary was great with child and the baby was due at any minute.  The minute Mary and Joe got settled the baby, Jesus, was ready to be born.

After the birth, Mary wrapped him in swaddling cloth. At this time the shepherds traveled to the stable, after getting a message themselves from an angel of the Lord.

Now most get confused around this part and seem to think that the Wise Men came right after the Shepherds, but this is not so. About three years after the birth of Jesus, some wise men saw an odd star shining in  the sky. Upon seeing this star the wise men started riding toward it on camels. They did not journey out all together, as it is said by many, but they met one another in the pathway. In the Bible it doesn’t say how many wise men there were, but because of the number of gifts we presume that there were three wise men.  At this time King Herod was ruler, and he was a very cruel and evil king. He had heard about the prophecy of the Baby Jesus who was to become “the King of the Jews”.  The wise men stopped at the palace to see if King Herod knew who it was, but King Herod said he did not and told the wise men that when they found out who it was they must tell him, so that he could worship him also. This of course was a lie and he intended to kill the Baby Jesus, and an angel told the wise men so in a dream.  Upon this discovery, they decided to take a detour away from King Herod’s Palace.

When the wise men did not return, King Herod was furious. He demanded that the boy Jesus be found and killed. God warned Mary and Joseph in a dream and told them to go to Jerusalem . Here they resided until God told them it was safe to leave, but this is a different story for a different time.  If you would like to read up on this story yourself you can find it in the Bible in Matt. 1:17-2:23 or Luke 1:26-2:20 .  Have a Merry Christmas and God Bless!
