I’ve noticed that there are many sites with link backs in the 100 thousands; this seems to me to be a great challenge to me. So many times I have tried to create an atmosphere that would try to lead new bloggers to a linking exchange. Free links backs and giving away free stuff seems a successful tool, only when used with mass advertisement. This comes only when you have the money to pay for that advertisement, or using the free avenues that allow you to broadcast your new link plan or giveaways.  Asking for a link back doesn’t always work if you don’t actually link back to that individual’s site. I have experienced putting a link on my site and not getting a reciprocal link for that sites owner. This is very trying when you are trying to get good link backs to your site.  
Getting on MyBlogLog and blasting everyone with all your junk info or new articles that you have is one way, sooner or later they will start to ignore your ramblings, like I have. Then you can try to comment on as many bloggers so that they will at least see your sites name.  Go to Google and type in Link Back blogs, you will see that there are a ton of blogs that offer this out stretched hand. It’s time to start going from blog to blog and assuring the blog owner that you have linked back to their site. Then you wait to see if they will follow through with their part of the deal. This is a good way to get some links, just a time consuming way around it.  

Then there is sites that offer to put your site on 1000’s of directories to increase your link power. They do for awhile, they just drop off after a few months for more obligation to their site and new sites to submit to…
